About The Artist: Buju Banton, whose real name is Mark Anthony Myrie, is a Jamaican reggae and dancehall artist. He was born on July 15, 1973, in Kingston, Jamaica. Buju Banton is known for his powerful voice, conscious lyrics, and captivating stage presence. He gained international recognition in the early 1990s with his hit songs like “Bogle,” “Champion,” and “Wanna Be Loved.”
Throughout his career, Buju Banton has released numerous albums, including “Stamina Daddy” (1992), “Til Shiloh” (1995), “Inna Heights” (1997), and “Upside Down” (2020). His music often addresses social and political issues, spirituality, and the struggles of the marginalized.
