Since calling Miami her home and already landing in the Beatport Top 100, Amal Nemer has now built up a glowing release catalogue, gracing labels like Glasgow Underground, Nervous Records, Cafe De Anatolia, Natura Viva, Happy Techno Music and Space Invaders among others as well as landing initial career igniting sets in ATV Records in Miami, Treehouse Miami and more across the US. Fast forward to 2023 and the impressive talent is now on her own North and South American tour as well as being championed by Jamie Jones, The Martinez Brothers, Dennis Cruz and more.
Now Amal Nemer continues to earn backing with her new Eraser EP. Making for an exhilarating and upbeat tech-house anthem lead track Eraser is an energetic groover with dynamic synths and vibrant melodies that are destined to pack dancefloors. Meanwhile b-side Elevate, dives deep into the worlds of progressive and afro-house, boasting hypnotic breakdowns and intricate percussion that is destined to immerse listeners in the clubs and beyond on a transcendent sonic journey. A certified two-track weapon, Amal Nemer is only just getting started.

The State of Dance Music
House music, a genre born in the underground clubs of Chicago in the 1980s, has come a long way. With its infectious beats, soulful melodies, and vibrant subculture, it has become a global phenomenon. Over the decades, it has transformed and branched into numerous subgenres, but its core essence remains the same. In this article, we’ll explore the state of house music today.
1. The Resilience of the Underground:
House music’s roots lie in the underground club scene, and this spirit remains alive and well. While mainstream pop music trends come and go, house music continues to thrive in the underground, with an unwavering dedication to the music and the dance floor. Underground clubs and raves provide a space for creative experimentation, pushing boundaries, and fostering a sense of community that’s unique to the genre.
2. The Proliferation of Subgenres:
House music has evolved into a diverse family of subgenres. From deep house to tech house, progressive house to acid house, each subgenre brings its own flavor and style. It has touched every corner of the world, with thriving house music scenes in cities as diverse as Ibiza, Berlin, Miami, and Johannesburg. The global reach of the genre has not only expanded its fan base but also enriched it with diverse cultural influences.
4. Influence on Mainstream Pop:

6. A Resurgence of Vinyl:
While technology has ushered in the digital age of music, vinyl records have experienced a resurgence within the house music community. Vinyl not only offers a nostalgic connection to the roots of the genre but also a unique sound quality that many purists appreciate. Vinyl-only sets and limited edition releases have become a hallmark of the scene.

Chasing the storm of their recent track “Y’all Ready For Dis,” Y U QT continue to
turn the heat up with new single “Let It Go,” the first single to drop from their
forthcoming EP later this year via LG105. A vibrant concoction of house,
garage, and rave, Let It Go is a gem of the duo’s signature earworm sound.
The new single follows Y U QT’s debut Boiler Room set alongside DJ EZ,
Jyoty, and p-rallel following a huge 2023 so far when Y’all Ready For Dis
experienced a viral moment from Yung Singh’s Boiler Room set in Melbourne
ahead of its release. With fans craving it ever since, the track became a certified
dance weapon as soon as it dropped.
The hype has only continued to grow for the duo who continued to tease their in
demand productions on their headline ALL NYTE LONG six date, sold out UK
tour whilst amassing backing from Interplanetary Criminal, Prozak, Daffy,
Notion and others.
Their consistent support has translated across to airwaves with the likes of Jack
Saunders, Danny Howard, Charlie Hedges, Jeremiah Asiamah, Sarah

fanbase from the likes of Bicep, Ben UFO, Disclosure, Or:la, Octo Octa, and
Eris Drew for their versatile rave anthems. The duo’s discography boasts a
Beatport no. 1 with You Belong To Me, to a remix of pop group easy life’s
skeletons, not to mention a plethora of Bandcamp bootlegs that nod to the
roots of their rise.
Meanwhile, continuing to demonstrate the live selector skill, Y U QT’s dynamic
energy has bolstered crowds at sold out shows across Nottingham’s
Brickworks, Leeds’ Freedom Mills, and Manchester’s Hidden in addition to
shows at Boiler Room Festival, El Dorado, Waterworks, and Propyard in
Bristol alongside the likes of Dan Shake, Elkka, and Shy One.
Y U QT now continue their winning streak with a smooth and cathartic dance
number that sees them experiment with multiple elements. Featuring glistening
breakdowns, upbeat samples, and floor filling percussion, Let It Go is a sign of a
duo who are firmly in their own lane with a signature blend of garage, house,
breaks and beyond.

The Power Of The Indie Artist – Shaping The Future Of Music
In an ever-evolving music landscape dominated by major labels and streaming giants, indie artists have emerged as a potent force shaping the industry’s future. These independent musicians, often operating on a shoestring budget and fueled by boundless creativity, are redefining what it means to succeed in music. In this article, we celebrate the power of the indie artist and their transformative impact on the music world.
One of the most significant strengths of indie artists lies in their authenticity and creative freedom. Unburdened by corporate agendas or market pressures, they have the liberty to craft music that is deeply personal and innovative. This artistic authenticity resonates with audiences seeking genuine and relatable music that speaks to their own experiences.
The digital revolution has democratized music production and distribution, empowering indie artists to reach global audiences without the need for major label backing. With accessible recording equipment, social media platforms, and streaming services, indie musicians can share their work directly with fans, bypassing traditional gatekeepers. This DIY culture allows them to maintain creative control, retain higher revenue shares, and build grassroots fan communities.
Indie artists are often at the forefront of genre-blending and experimentation. They fearlessly break down musical boundaries, fusing diverse styles, and creating fresh sounds. This innovation not only revitalizes established genres but also contributes to the evolution of music as a whole. Their willingness to explore uncharted territories challenges conventions and invigorates the industry.
Indie artists excel in forging genuine connections with their audiences. Through social media engagement, live performances, and intimate fan interactions, they cultivate loyal followings built on personal relationships. This direct connection fosters a sense of community and loyalty that transcends the ephemeral nature of mainstream trends.
The road to success for indie artists is often paved with challenges, rejection, and setbacks. Yet, their resilience and persistence are remarkable. They understand that the journey is long and demanding, and they continue to create, perform, and connect with fans despite the odds. This unwavering commitment to their craft is a testament to the indomitable spirit of indie artists.
Indie artists are not merely outliers in the music industry; they are driving forces of change and innovation. Their authenticity, creative freedom, and willingness to push boundaries challenge the status quo and redefine success. In a world inundated with manufactured stars and formulaic hits, indie artists remind us that music’s true power lies in its ability to connect, inspire, and transcend. They are not just musicians; they are trailblazers shaping the future of music, one honest and heartfelt note at a time.
