Before working her way up through New York’s gritty underground music scene, Dana Fuchs absorbed all the soul, funk, rock, and country that her home town in Florida had to offer. At the young age of 19 she took her talents to NY where she gained recognition for her sold out shows. Her charismatic and soulful performance as Janis Joplin in the off- Broadway production of Love, Janis launched her career forward landing her the part of Sadie in Julie Taymor’s Across the Universe. On December 27th, Dana takes the stage at SubCulture for an intimate performance including songs from her new album Bliss Avenue along with pieces from her last three albums.
