THE NEW REGIME RELEASES THE LYRIC VIDEO TO UPLIFTING TRACK “IT’S GONNA BE OK”

The New Regime, the brainchild of Ilan Rubin (Nine Inch Nails, Angels & Airwaves), release the new lyric video for their uplifting track “It’s Gonna Be OK” today.

The New Regime, the brainchild of Ilan Rubin (Nine Inch Nails, Angels & Airwaves), release the new lyric video for their uplifting track “It’s Gonna Be OK” today. Watch the lyric video, filmed in desolate New York City during the COVID-19 lockdown.

“On March 1st, we began our tour with Silversun Pickups. On March 6th, ‘Heart Mind Body & Soul, the new album and 2-year labor of love finally came out. By March 13th, the tour was canceled and on March 20th California began its quarantine lockdown.  Just like that the beginning of a promising album/tour cycle was gone and there was nothing I could do to help remedy the situation.  I started getting messages on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook saying that ‘It’s Gonna Be OK’ was getting people through these tough times, whether it was dealing with sick family, being out of work, or helping with a general sense of anxiety over uncertainty. Seeing our medical professionals working tirelessly and the general public working together to maintain the social distancing/quarantine guidelines was inspiring amid the dead streets of our neighborhoods. So, I decided to put together a lyric video for a song that has helped some people get through this, in the hopes that it could help even just a few more. During these trying times any added positivity and emotional relief are worth it,” states The New Regime frontman Ilan Rubin about the release.

“It’s Gonna Be OK” is off The New Regime’s recent full-length album Heart Mind Body & Soul, which was released over the past few months in four parts, each with four songs, grouped under each titular topic (“Heart, “Mind”, “Body”, and “Soul”). Rubin made the decision to roll out the project in this manner after accepting that few music fans still take the time to sit down and hear an entire album. Then, a complete 16-track collection was re-sequenced for the full-length release. While the artwork that was created for each part was compiled into one image by its creator Rob Sheridan, best known for his extensive work with Nine Inch Nails and most recently DC Comic’s High Level. The LP is available to stream and purchase HERE.

Rubin, whose young age defies the amount of work he’s already tackled, was recently called “Nine Inch Nails’ secret weapon” (Metal Injection) and “one of rock’s most in-demand drummers” (Louder). Today, however, it can be argued that the multi-instrumentalist’s best work happens when this one-man-band is fronting-and backing-The New Regime. The band’s previous releases have been featured by massive press outlets such as Billboard, Entertainment Weekly, NME, Alternative Press, and Modern Drummer and have seen them share the stage with Muse, The Killers, Nine Inch Nails, Angels & Airwaves, Silversun Pickups, The Used, Juliette Lewis, Alice In Chains, and more. With the new releases, Rubin is looking forward to continuing to reinvent the wheel and becoming a master of his own regime.
