USL Magazine’s September Issue Release Party at Organix Lounge

USL Magazine’s September Issue Release Party at Organix Lounge: Thanks to all who came out in support of USL Magazine’s very 1st Issue Release Party. It was an amazing evening and the energy was something I’ve longed for, since becoming disinterested in the nigh-life. So many people came up to me expressing their adoration for the style, class and energy that enveloped the place! And while a few people were missing, a good friend of mines (Carlos Jones) said it best; ” the people who were suppose to be here are!”

Interestingly, I’m still reeling from last night’s performances! Jason London’s performance made me a committed supporter. It has been a long time since I’ve witnessed an indie artist with style, showmanship, stage presence and true talent all wrapped into one; and it seemed effortless. Shameia LaCrawf brought down the house as her big, massive voice and energy had us moving, clapping and swaying side-to-side. And then she did the unexpected; she sung “Happy Birthday” to our birthday guy Mr. Je’ Wesley Day (Organix Lounge Owner), which was riveting. Shameia, I am so impressed with your gift that is God sen! Your voice gave me pause and a reflection on the emphasis in your USL Magazine article. “Atlanta needs a monthly event like this,” said Emmy Award winning Journalist Angela Robinson, who expressed her support and yearning for more diversity in Atlanta’s night life. “It was a very successful event and should be a monthly thing” said former award winning news anchor Mike Woolfolk, as we partook in a very delicious specialty drink courtesy of Organix Lounge.

So if you were’t there, don’t worry, you have an opportunity to be with us (the in-crowd) next month. This is only the beginning, just you wait and see!!! -Patrick Kelly, Editor-In-Chief at USL Magazine
